DAY 5:
REGIME FINALLY WAKE UP TO NATURAL DISASTER

The regime finally woke up to the harsh realities on the ground and this morning declared a state of natrual disaster.  Very interesting to note that instead of concentrating on the disaster and declaring a state of emergency, which is the normal declaration during times of natural or manmade disastersthe regime forgot about the emergency and only mentioned the disaster.

Being very careful not to mention a 'state of emergency' as according to the regime this would cause panick amongst tourists heading to Fiji. It is understood that foreign embassies in Fiji had been wondering when the regime was to declare a state of emergency so that aid and assistance could be organised for areas badly affected.

For the regime, it is all about looking good in the international press these days urged on by their media consultants Qorvis. While thousands of Fijians suffer the regime is more interested in maintaining it's international image as a tourist destination.
