SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
Another suspicious removal and this time it is from the Independent Legal Services Commission (ILSC). The regime under the advice of the illegal Attorney General have done it once again.
The ILSC was one institution which had established some credibility during it's short time in existence compared to other institutions which have lost all credibility including the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Fiji Human Rights Commission. The story in the local media is that Justice Connors' term came to an end but this is far from the truth.
An inside source revealed that Justice Connors had many pending matters which were still in progress before the ILSC. Justice Connors removal takes away whatever credibility he has worked hard to establish in an institution that was created by the regime. This was the one person who had remained independent and delivered judgements based on the evidence presented to the commission and not accepted charges against lawyers which were tramped up by the illegal AG via the office of the Chief Registrar.
Justice Connors was not informed about his removal and was shocked when informed that his contract would not be renewed. Had he known about his sudden removal, he would have prepared for a orderly transfer and at the least completed cases which were pending.
The illegal AG strikes once again!
