TOWARDS
ELECTIONS
Torture Watch has maintained that the regime continues to drag its feet when it comes to election preparations. The latest evidence to the regime's non committal position comes in the form of the illegal AG speaking to reporters during an interview. The illegal AG said that the regime is "yet to decide on when the Supervisor of Elections will be appointed" and that "the government will decide in due course to appoint the next Elections Supervisor but he then questioned why this question is being raised as there were anomalies in the 2006 elections when an Electoral Commission and a Supervisor of Elections were in place." Once again very typical of the illegal AG attacking others when asked to clarify his own lack of commitment.
